Hello!
My name is Nolan, and I am a young professional who loves film, games, and immersive experiences. Over the past year, I have journeyed into the incredible Unreal Engine ecosystem, a venture which has prompted me to create this site to document and share my successes, failures, and findings. In hopes of being useful to others and my future self, Frankenstein Learning is rooted in two main philosophies:
- Learn with me: I am not an expert on any of the subjects covered in this site. I do not expect what I share here to be 100% correct or be the best methods/practices. In fact, I am hoping to hear your suggestions on how I can improve! Rather, this space is meant to share my learning journey in hopes of inspiring educational dialogue (even if I am just talking to myself haha).
- "Frankensteining": There are countless fantastic teachers and resources online covering practically every aspect of the Unreal Engine ecosystem. However, it can often be difficult to find a comprehensive guide for a given project. As such, most of my processes have been pieced together (get it?) from numerous resources, a way of learning that is embraced here. Rather than re-inventing the wheel, Frankenstein Learning incorporates (and credits!) the fantastic resources I use to learn these workflows.
Thanks for checking out my mad science! (insert maniacal laugh)
